Organization Description

Progressive Community Services, Inc. is incorporated under the non-profit corporation laws of the State of Wisconsin. PCS currently operates its office at 607 Green Meadow Drive in Verona, Wisconsin with each staff person working out of his/her home office. PCS's service area is Dane County, Wisconsin.
PCS primarily provides service coordination to individuals with disabilities who receive long-term community support services and live in our community. PCS staff are advocates for the people who are supported and services are considered long-term. PCS staff are hired by the individual and/or the guardian and work at his/her direction. Staff assess the needs of the individual over time while developing a person centered plan that reflects the person's goals. PCS staff monitor the quality of supports while procuring resources that meet each person's needs.

Supported Self-Employment (SSE) Program

Dane County's Supported Self-Employment (SSE) or Micro-Enterprise program is an alternative to traditional supported employment and sheltered work. The SSE program is uniquely suited to address the movement, communication, stamina, and behavioral barriers to employment often faced by individuals with significant disabilities. Dane County has seen that these micro-businesses can create employment opportunities for individuals in our service system who have had limited success in traditional employment.
