Organization Description
Progressive Community Services, Inc. is incorporated under the non-profit corporation laws of the State of Wisconsin. PCS currently operates its office at 607 Green Meadow Drive in Verona, Wisconsin with each staff person working out of his/her home office. PCS's service area is Dane County, Wisconsin.
PCS primarily provides service coordination to individuals with disabilities who receive long-term community support services and live in our community. PCS staff are advocates for the people who are supported and services are considered long-term. PCS staff are hired by the individual and/or the guardian and work at his/her direction. Staff assess the needs of the individual over time while developing a person centered plan that reflects the person's goals. PCS staff monitor the quality of supports while procuring resources that meet each person's needs.
Mission Statement
Progressive Community Services, Inc. advocates for adults with developmental and other disabilities to lead a self-directed life. We believe people with disabilities deserve the opportunity to direct their own supports when possible while maintaining or improving their quality of life in their home and in their community. Progressive Community Services, Inc. works with guardians and circle of supports to assure that the person's home and community life are led as inclusively as possible.
Philosophy
PCS believes in offering quality supports to adults with disabilities, their families and their support teams. Each person is an individual and deserves the respect to be treated as such. Person Centered Plans are the crux of this type of support. Each plan will be developed with input from the entire support team but with the person with the disability having the ultimate approval of the plan. PCS employees will also work towards enhancing the quality of life for PCS clients while focusing on flexibility of support needs. PCS employees are encouraged to have flexible schedules as a means to accomplish this task. PCS is dedicated to maintaining this style of support of both PCS staff and clientele.
